Lánre is a singer-songwriter and performer from Atlanta. Best known for his soulful vocals and punchy lyrics, Lánre seamlessly creates heartfelt songs in the R&B, electronic, and pop music genres. Charting over 1.75 million streams across Spotify and other streaming platforms, Lánre’s bold artistry is ever-evolving on and off the stage.
Recently featured in Medium’s ‘Rising Stars in the Music Industry’ series, Lánre (born Olánrewaju Keyede) was born and raised in Central New Jersey. He began his music career at age 10 when he attended a music school and was classically trained in vocal performance. Since then, he continued performing in off-broadway musical productions and local festivals in Atlanta when his family moved south during his sophomore year of high school. Lánre discovered his songwriting talent at age 15 and released a 6-track demo. Lánre continued writing and performing his songs in and around Atlanta during and after he graduated college where he discovered his sound of a mix of RnB, Electronic Dance, and Pop genres that was truly unique to him.
Lánre’s breakout single, “Somebody New (graymattr Remix)” was supported by BBC Radio and has since been featured on many notable editorial playlists on Spotify, Apple Music, Tidal, and Amazon Music. With 25,000+ monthly listeners on Spotify the talented singer-songwriter Lánre continues to grow his fan base on the road. He’s performed multi-city tours in California, Texas, and Colorado. In 2024 fans can expect to see Lánre perform internationally in London and Rotterdam for the New Skool Rules festival as he gears up for the highly-anticipated release of his sophomore EP ‘up all night.’ on July 12.
